Exbury features a host of special events throughout the year and these are advertised in local press and on their web site. Although the budget is fairly small, by featuring appropriate cartoons these ads stand out from other Exbury advertising and obtain a very good response.
Although totally independent, the Southern Co-operative has recently adopted the same corporate image as the national society. A new leaflet has been designed and is adapted and despatched to all households within a quarter of a mile, each time there is a new or refurbished store opening.
Exbury Gardens has 200 acres of beautiful gardens and is most famous for azaleas, camellias and rhododendrons. It is essential that the leaflet reflects the wonderful array of colour on show and also feature a variety of images from all four seasons. The Steam Railway also has to have a strong presence.
The Co-op has experienced an exceptional amount of awareness since the introduction of ‘lifestyle’ bus sides to their advertising schedule. With 50 stores in and around Portsmouth they represent very good value. Part of the Commercial Road, Portsmouth campaign these posters rotated evenly throughout the length of Commercial Road during a three month campaign and were designed to highlight all aspects of ‘Food to go’, a new concept for The Co-op.
The featured poster was part of a mixed media campaign for the opening of The Co-op in Commercial Road, Portsmouth. The creative message was to provide fresh food ideas for busy commuters and was positioned opposite the store outside Fratton Station. When leaflets were distributed to office workers too, the impact was considerable.
