Runnymede Borough Council

The 15 June 1215 is rightly regarded as one of the most notable days in the history of the world. The granting of Magna Carta – which was sealed at Runnymede – marked the road to individual freedom, to Parliamentary democracy and to the supremacy of the law. Runnymede borough council includes the towns and villages of Addlestone, Chertsey, Egham, Egham Hythe, Englefield Green, Lyne, New Haw, Ottershaw, Row Town, Thorpe, Woodham and Virginia Water.
