Where else can you be as targeted as this?

We have been getting involved with FaceBook advertising recently. What I love about it is the fact that you can be really targeted.

To avoid breaking any confidentialities I will share a personal example.

I was selling a pedal cycle recently on Ebay. I wanted to drive traffic to the auction site from people in my area so I looked at FaceBook advertising. I was able to target the ad at Males (It was a gents bike), over the age of 18, living within 40 KM of my home town and who were interested in cycling. 560 people met this criteria.

What other advertising platform enables you to be as targeted as this?

Within hours of placing the ad the “follower” count on Ebay jumped by 5.

In all my ad appeared 14,807 times, seen only by my target audience. I had 22 people click on the ad at a total cost of £7.38. To avoid excessive costs I did limit my daily total to £5.00.
